With the portal dead period behind us and transfers once again permitted to take in-person visits, the past week has brought a flurry of activity. There are currently more than 2,100 players in the men’s portal, as the clock ticks ever louder on the entry deadline of April 22nd.
On Thursday and Friday alone, multiple former top-100 prospects formally entered the portal and declared their intention to transfer. More than a dozen players committed to programs and countless more took official visits. Here is the latest news you need to know.
AAC Player of the Year Is On The Move The portal has a new contender for “best available transfer” as 6-foot-3 sophomore guard PJ Haggerty, a Memphis star who was the AAC Player of the Year, has just entered. Haggerty averaged 21.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists, and led the AAC in scoring while helping the Tigers win a conference title.

Cal Standout Goes Portaling Andrej Stojakovic, a former four-star prospect, has entered the portal after a season in which he averaged 17.9 points and 4.7 rebounds for Cal. The 6-foot-7 sophomore wing — the son of 13-year NBA veteran Peja Stojakovic — began his career at Stanford in 2023-24, where he made 32 appearances as a freshman.
