The tragedy behind the crashA helicopter crashed Tuesday onto the I-10 bridge over the Bonnet Carre Spillway, killing the pilot and snarling traffic all the way from Baton Rouge to New Orleans. Our reporters spoke to friends and family of the pilot, who was an Eagle Scout, a paramedic, a boat mechanic, an airplane mechanic, the family IT guy, an electrician, a husband and a devoted father to his three boys, ages 3, 4 and 7.
