Dear John,
Advent is perhaps the most forgotten liturgical season. It seems like stores and radio stations believe that Christmas begins on November 1 and ends on December 25. As Christians, we know that Advent gives us time to slow down, to reflect on the real meaning of Christmas, and to prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ.
Advent begins this year on Sunday, November 28. At EWTN, we will have many programs that will help you grow in your faith in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
In addition, we hope that you will share your prayer intentions with us so that we can pray for you throughout the Advent season. If you have problems with your health, your family, or anything at all, please visit ewtn.com/prayer.
We also hope that you will consider a gift today. Many people still need to discover the Truth of the Gospel. The world needs Jesus, which is why we need your support: ewtn.com/adventgift. Thank you!
We pray that you have a blessed Thanksgiving and Advent season.
Sincerely in Christ,
Your EWTN Family
