The Purpose of Play | Somehow, it simultaneously seems that springtime has just begun and summertime is just around the corner. Whether you’ve already made your vacation plans or have your head down until the last day of school, recent CT podcast episodes have an encouraging word for you. This week on The Russell Moore Show, Charlie Peacock and Andi Ashworth talk about simple, relational ways to open our lives up as an act of hospitality. They consider how we can live as Christian culture-makers—whether we’re working in the marketplace or at home. On Being Human, host Steve Cuss ponders the power of play in our worship. He shares insights into how well-intended earnestness can get in the way of intimacy with God, and how play offers us opportunities to rebuild that connection both as individuals and in fellowship with others. As semesters begin to end and schedule shifts lurk just around the corner, may we consider how the months to come can be marked by both presence and play. |
