GLOBAL: Sonesta International Hotels Corporation has released the first of four phases of its newest campaign, titled Famous Yet Nameless. The debut marks Sonesta’s first-ever effort of its kind to build brand awareness as the hotel company has quickly become the world’s eighth largest. The campaign was developed in partnership with RO New York and aims to appeal to every type of traveler—from business to leisure and extended stay.
LAS VEGAS: The Las Vegas Strip’s Fontainebleau Development, in partnership with Koch Real Estate Investment, has secured a $2.2 billion investment loan to complete construction of the Fontainebleau Las Vegas. The financing will allow the 67-story property to open by the fourth quarter of 2023. Upon its debut, visitors can also expect the hotel to be a premiere gaming, meeting, and entertainment destination.
MIAMI: Beyond Ordinary Events, Inc. has launched a new marquee in partnership with Google, called POSSIBLE. Taking place April 17-19 at the Fontainebleau Hotel, 5,000 C-suite marketers and industry leaders are expected to gather to hear from 200 speakers across four stages and 16 tracks of curated content, including master classes and workshops. Confirmed speakers include the chief marketing officers from big brands like General Motors, Walmart, Campbell Soup Company, and Major League Baseball. Passes are available starting at $809 on POSSIBLE’s website.
NEW YORK: Lotte Hotels New York Palace has recently added two guided tours exclusively available to hotel guests: a private tour of St. Patrick’s Cathedral and a historian-guided tour of the historic Villard Mansion. Cathedral tours are led by a cathedral historian who will showcase areas of the iconic property that are not accessible to the public, such as the lower labyrinth, halls, and staircases that lead into the bishop’s crypt. The Villard Mansion tour, meanwhile, will take place every Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. and will give guests on the 60-minute excursion a glimpse into the Gilded Age.
SEATTLE: The National Hockey League (NHL) has announced that the 2024 Discover NHL Winter Classic will be hosted by the Seattle Kraken. The Kraken are set to take on the Vegas Golden Knights on Jan. 1, 2024 at T-Mobile Park, home of the Seattle Mariners. The premier event marks the Kraken’s first-ever outdoor contest since the start of their play during the 2021-2022 season. Tickets to the Winter Classic are available on NHL’s website.
