International Justice Mission (IJM) is dedicated to protecting the poor from violence. We partner with local authorities around the world to rescue people from trafficking, slavery, and other forms of abuse. But the heart of our work is persistent, relentless prayer — prayer that turns the tide in impossible situations, just like in Thailand.
We established an office in Bangkok to combat trafficking in the illegal fishing industry on the Gulf of Thailand — a 7-billion-dollar business that ruthlessly exploits hundreds of thousands. But for a year and a half, there were no rescues.
Prayer is the very foundation of our work to protect the poor from violence and trafficking — the heartbeat of our mission for more than 20 years. When we are faithful in prayer, God is faithful to answer.
