Private rental affordability, England and Wales 2023 For the first time, we have been able to estimate private rental affordability at local authority (LA) level in England and Wales. The LAs with the least "affordable" average rents in each region in 2023 were those in urban centres such as London, Manchester, Brighton and Hove, Bristol, and Bath. You can also find housing and rental prices in your area, and how they have changed over time, using our semi-automated tool. |
| | BBC micro:bit - Inspiring the next generation through playground data Last month we launched a collaboration with the BBC and Micro:bit Educational Foundation. With an aim to help children gain digital skills to understand the world around them, schools received tens of thousands of micro:bit classroom sets to carry out a large-scale playground survey between May and July 2024. Primary school children aged 7 to 11 years looked at everything from playground size to the biodiversity they support, as well as how pupils spend their playtimes. |
