A question came from a client: “What one skill do you think, if I were to obtain, would take me to the next level?” This is something I’m often asked. And without a doubt my answer… …is Bigger Thinking. And yes, big thinking is a skill. Because it can be very difficult to go against your upbringing, past experiences, and environmental programming… … to fight through ALL that conditioning… And firmly believe that you can accomplish more. That you can have more… and be more. But if you do want more success… It’s absolutely critical that you start thinking BIGGER about what’s possible. Why is this so important? Think of it this way: The problem is that right now... You have 10 pounds of skills inside a 5 pound bag of thinking. (Read that again and let it sink in for a second...) You are capable of so much more. Your constraints are not knowledge… but thinking, strategy, and exposure to bigger things and greater opportunities… So that you can take bigger action. Right now you are applying a sledgehammer of knowledge to a pinhead of a problem. And it’s simply because you don’t know that there are big spikes out there for you to pound. Small thinking and myopic vision could have been a handicap in my life too — had I let myself exist in the tiny bubble of my hometown or even in my quiet, private life in Toronto. That’s why I’ve spent well over $1,000,000 in my lifetime investing in Masterminds, coaching, and consulting… And it’s why last year alone I spent $100,000 to be part of my buddy Joel Marion’s “100 Million Mastermind Experience.” Because those things expose me to new thinking, new ideas, and new people — some of whom are already building businesses 10X bigger than mine. Constantly being around “big thinking”... automatically gets me thinking bigger. Now over to you… Where can YOU apply this concept in your own life? Are there other driven, successful people you know and could spend more time with? Groups you can join? Have you ever hired a coach? You need to think of ways you can put yourself in the right environment. Because environment is destiny. Environment is everything. You keep a koi fish in a bowl, it stunts its growth. You keep a koi fish in a pond, it grows to its full potential. You keep yourself locked up at home sucked into busy work, then you stunt your growth. You get out, think bigger, see the world, and open your eyes to what’s really possible, then you give yourself the opportunity to be the best version of yourself. You build your prison... or you unlock your freedom. Your environment. Your choice. Reading these emails is a step in the right direction. And that my friend, is just one of the reasons why I’m so glad you are here. Success Loves Speed, Craig |
