Dear Customers and Friends, Yesterday, the President of the United States stated that 100,000 or more of us could die over the next two or three weeks! I hope he's wrong! He's basing that on what scientists are telling him. But we've never had a pandemic like this before so no one knows. But what can we do? Be compliant! Follow the mitigation guidelines. Don't be at risk. Don't put others at risk. You can be a carrier and not know it. You may catch it from someone who doesn't know they are sick. The State of Utah says that for every confirmed case, there are 5.5 unknown infected people. Care about others. We can't go visit our friends, family, and neighbors but we can tell them that we love them by text or phone. They're frightened also. Share the burden. Pray. I believe in prayer. I believe that it strengthens us. I believe that we have a loving Heavenly Father that wants to bless us. But sometimes we have to ask. We know that a warm loaf of homemade bread is a comfort. we're going as fast as we can. We're working hard and hiring new people. We're struggling to keep up. I don't know if we can keep up. We add inventory from the previous day's production every morning, Tuesday through Friday at 9:00 AM our time plus Friday evening. And shipping is caught up now. So if you order today, it should ship tomorrow. As challenging as this time is, it will end. It won't break us. We will emerge a better, stronger people. We appreciate you. We pray for you and for our country. Please be careful. Dennis Weaver
How to make perfect French toast!
The goal for great French toast is to cook it until it is golden brown and crispy on the outside with a creamy, custard-like center. Make certain that the egg mixture has soaked through the bread and cook over a medium high heat. But don’t let the bread soak for so long that it falls apart when you try to move it. Super airy bread tends to fall apart. Choose bread with structure. Day-old bread works great. Use a whisk and beat the eggs well. The yolks and the whites should be well mixed. Cooking with butter rather than oil lends flavor to your French toast. Wipe out any browned butter with a paper towel between batches.
