| By Bob Warren Making movies: New Orleans native Anthony Mackie, perhaps best known for playing the Falcon in the Marvel comics franchise, plans to open a movie studio in New Orleans East, Tony McAuley reports today, citing several sources. Mackie recently purchased 20 acres for the project. Chasing Deshaun: The Saints are pushing hard to convince Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson that New Orleans is his next landing spot. Team brass – including owner Gayle Benson – met with Watson again Wednesday night in Atlanta, where he had just wrapped a meeting with the Falcons. Citing growing controversy, the sponsor of a bill that sought to rename it after former Gov. Edwin Edwards said he’s pulling the plug.
