Dipping frosting is faster than frosting. Warm up a tub of frosting and dip cupcakes to the paper. Do it twice for a heavier coating. Lesson 4. Meringue powder will make your frosting/filling last much longer. Lesson 5. If you want your cake to fudgier, add mini chocolate chips. They will mostly melt in baking giving your cake a boost. The Very Best Cream Filling 1 four-ounce package of cream cheese (or 1/2 of an eight-ounce block), softened 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup powdered sugar pinch of salt 1 tablespoon meringue powder 1 cup heavy whipping cream
Cream the granulated sugar with the cream cheese. Add the other ingredients and beat until light and fluffy.
