| The Law of Attraction: My Version I wrote a book to exorcise my demons of unhealthy attitudes about money, success, business, sales, marketing... all that stuff. I called it Money Is Spiritual (on Amazon). One of the philosophies out there is called "the law of attraction". Perhaps you've read or watched "The Secret" that explains it all. Because I'm running a kind of business... an art business... and because I have to deal with money and all that, when I left the ministry I had to read up on it all, go to conferences and workshops, and hire coaches to help me through it all. The learning process was steep and difficult and long for me. But it worked because I'm a lot healthier about it all than I used to be. Being in that universe, though, exposed me to this "law of attraction" stuff. My major problem with it is I simply don't believe in magic. I don't think just by thinking about something we can make it materialize in our lives. But I have seen an increase in my art career as well as my income. This is what I wrote a lot about it my book. It's not magic though. However, something happened. Here's how I explain it: I watched a short video of a young woman who claimed this was the law of attraction at work in her life. One day she woke up and decided she wanted to be a marathon runner. She'd never run a mile in her life. But, she said she started thinking like a marathoner, envisioning and imagining like a marathoner, hanging out with marathoners, eating like a marathoner, researching like a marathoner, buying all the gear of a marathoner, practicing like a marathoner, and eventually, after two years, she ran a marathon! One year she'd never run ever. Two years later she's a full-on marathoner! To her it seemed like magic! An impossible achievement. But she did it! And that's the key: SHE DID IT! This is, in my opinion, the law of attraction at work. That's how what I dreamed of came into my life. Basically, I tried to maintain an optimistic outlook and worked my ass off. No magic. Tons of envisioning and work! And, low and behold... my dreams came true. I hope this helps.
