Scottish Food and Drink Producers Fund

The Scottish Food and Drink Producers Fund will provide support for food and drink producers supplying the hospitality sector. The fund will help businesses that suffered financial losses due to cancelled orders caused by the introduction of the new Covid-19 measures in December 2021 and January 2022. 

 

The fund, which is being managed and delivered by the Scottish Government, will close on Sunday 13th February, so get your application in now.

Close Contact Services Fund

The Close Contact Services Fund, delivered by the Scottish Government, will provide a one-off payment to support eligible close contact service businesses impacted by the COVID restrictions and guidance introduced from 9th December 2021 to 24th January 2022 to control the Omicron variant.

Applications will open on Monday 14th February and close on Friday 4th March 2022.

COVID Regulations to be Extended

The Scottish Government has extended the statutory coronavirus (Covid-19) requirements and enforcement powers for local authorities until 24th September 2022

These include requirements on the use of face coverings, the vaccine certification scheme, and for businesses, service providers and places of worship to have regard to guidance, and to take reasonable measures to minimise incidence and spread of Covid.

Taxi and Private Hire Driver and Operator Support Fund 2022

The Taxi and Private Hire Driver and Operator Support Fund 2022 will provide a one-off payment to eligible drivers and operators who have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions in December 2021 and January 2022.

Payments are being administered by local authorities on behalf of the Scottish Government and your local authority will be in touch with you to verify your entitlement.

Spin Out Support Programme

The Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Centre (IBioIC)'s Spin-Out Support Programme offers up to £20,000 towards Higher Education Institution (HEI) costs for spin-out projects that focus on innovative applications of biotechnology. These projects should address a real market need or commercial opportunity.

Applications are invited for proof-of-concept projects from researchers with an ambition to spin out a company within one to two years of the project ending.

Fife & Tayside Procurement Surgery

Angus, Dundee City, Fife and Perth & Kinross Councils have joined forces to create a series of one-to-one procurement surgeries aimed at supporting local businesses and increasing confidence when tendering with the public sector.

The surgeries will also support suppliers in becoming "tender ready" with the Supplier Development Programme to better understand and respond to the “ask” from local authorities in procurement.
