BS 8543:2015 Complaint handling in organizations - Specifications

Today’s organizations need a process whereby they can manage complaints efficiently and effectively. This should be done in such a way that the organization, its customers and its complainants all benefit.

To fulfil this need, a new British Standard has been written by a group of complaint management experts and is the first fully updated standard in this area for some time.

BS EN 55032:2015 Electromagnetic compatibility of multimedia equipment - Emissions Requirements
BS EN 55032
was developed in recognition of the fact that IT, communication and audio-video equipment now often integrates many different functions, features and capabilities which in the past were covered by different compliance standards.  For example, personal computers are increasingly used to watch television or listen to music and radio and might incorporate a camera and a CD player. Instead of using separate compliance standards for the different features, all types of equipment are covered by BS EN 55032.

New people management standard
People are inherently valuable – they are an organization’s biggest asset and should be treated as such. By respecting this basic principle, organizations and the people who work for them benefit from a more equal and sustainable working relationship. As the first principles-based standard for human capital, BS 76000
-  Human resource – Valuing people – Management system – Requirements and guidance provides a framework for organizations to put processes in place, which will help build that relationship.
The standard is relevant for any organization beyond that of sole trader – not just HR professionals or bigger organizations with HR departments – but any organization which works with other people, whether employees, volunteers or temporary staff.
