Is Victoria on the brink of a second gold rush?
There is almost as much gold in the ground in Victoria as was extracted during the 19th century golden era.

High world prices are driving a possible second gold rush in Ballarat, Bendigo and Stawell. A record number of exploration permits are now being granted to people hoping to strike gold, as discussed on the Conversation Hour.

Jacinta Parsons Long Play: Roman Krznaric

He’s an author and public philosopher who co-founded the UK’s School of Life and Museum of Empathy.

His previous books have encouraged us to cultivate empathy, seize the day, and live more meaningful and fulfilling lives.

Now Roman Krznaric has turned his attention to future generations. He believes it’s time to embrace the long-term thinking and principles of our ancestors and indigenous cultures, and sets out his strategy in his latest book The Good Ancestor: How to Think Long Term in a Short-Term World.
