This Thanksgiving probably looks very different from past ones. Many are celebrating without family members for the first time; some are celebrating alone. It’s hard to feel thankful. And that’s OK! Next year, hopefully, things will be different. That’s what I’m holding onto, at least.

Little by little, people have broadened their quarantine bubbles — a friend here, a family member there. The problem is the number of people each individual person has come into contact with; you may think you’re only seeing 10 people without a mask, but your exposure multiples with each new person you see. Now may be the time to close up your pandemic pod. |
