Combining the simplicity of an escorted tour, where all the logistics are taken care of from travel and accommodation to city tours and entry to the sights, with the chance to explore at your own pace doing as much, or as little, as you like. There’s usually a welcome dinner so you can get to know your fellow travellers and no extra single supplements to pay. Below we pick some of our favourite tours for solo travellers but there are plenty of other options to explore. Plus, there are no single supplements if you join a small group adventure and are happy to share a room with another passenger of the same sex.
