| Paralympian Storey breaks GB medal record |

| | | After sharing the position as Great Britain’s most successful Paralympian of all time for two days and saying it was a "dream come true", Sarah Storey has now won a record-breaking 17th gold medal. She no longer has to share the top spot on the podium with previous record holder Mike Kenny - who has 16 golds - after defending the women's C4-5 road race title at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo. "I'm a bit overwhelmed, I feel like it's happening to someone else," Storey says. "I can't really explain or compute anything about the race, but crossing the line first felt so good," she adds. The 43-year-old, who made her Paralympic debut at the 1992 Games in Barcelona competing in swimming before switching to cycling, punched the air as she crossed the finish line in two hours, 21 minutes and 51 seconds. Britain's Crystal-Lane Wright finished seven seconds behind to take silver and France's Marie Patouillet won bronze. “My mum and dad said to me when I was 12, when I wasn't winning anything in school - I'd been swimming and couldn't make national age groups - and they kept saying to me 'focus on you Sarah, just focus on your best', and that's what I keep doing," Storey adds. She's carried on being the best she can, says former Paralympian and our columnist Tanni Grey-Thompson. Storey now has 28 Paralympic medals and has won only gold since making her cycling Paralympic debut at Beijing 2008. | |

| | | | | Many businesses have been complaining about the UK's shortage of lorry drivers, which is still causing serious supply chain problems. The coronavirus pandemic, Brexit and tax changes have all contributed to a lack of qualified drivers. Industry bodies estimate there is a shortfall of about 100,000 workers. So what is it like to be a heavy goods vehicle driver and work in the industry? Tom Reddy has been driving lorries for more than 15 years and his pay was recently increased from £17.50 an hour to £24.50 - a 40% jump. "I've never known anything like it," he told the BBC. "But they could pay me £80,000 a year and it wouldn't be enough, I want to leave." Mr Reddy says it is difficult to have a family life with the unsociable hours the job demands. | |

| Gossip Girl and Sex and the City - albeit with new title And Just Like That - are having one and now The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is joining them. It’s the latest show to have a reboot and the original Fresh Prince, Will Smith, surprised his successor Jabari Banks to tell him he was finally there, to sit on his throne as the Prince of Bel Air. Check out his reaction. It's safe to say Banks’s reaction might make you smile or even giggle and so might these photographs. Photographers have captured - and captioned - some comedy pictures of wildlife including a grey seal that looks like it's giggling and another of an owl titled Shhhh! I'm so hungover it hurts. Take a look. | |
