Google has already had a shot at VR and XR with platforms like Google Glass and Google Daydream, but its latest effort, unveiled on Thursday as Android XR, is its most exciting yet when it comes to high-tech headsets. Google invited Digital Trends’ Jason Howell to its Mountain View, California, campus to check out Android XR for himself. The hardware was only presented to him on unreleased prototypes, but this was really about Android XR as a software platform.

Ahead of Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary in February, Peacock will air a special docuseries to honor the iconic late-night sketch comedy show, Digital Trends reported. The four-part series, SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night, will explore the show's rich history and the people who have made it special over the last five decades.

Executive produced by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville, the series will also take a behind-the-scenes look into integral parts of SNL, including cast auditions, the writers' room, and legendary sketches. All four episodes of SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night stream on January 16 ...
