Take Back Your Life Two weeks’ notice is a common courtesy employees are expected to give their employers when they quit. But that’s a courtesy, not a law. Most employees in America are in “at will” relationships with their employers, which means the employer can fire them at any time for any reason (except an illegal one) and employees are free to leave at any time. And in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, during which many of us are burnt out, do you still need to work for two more weeks once you quit? We asked career experts if it’s still the thing to do — and when.
Deal With It  No matter how high the thread count or how lovely the color, your pillowcase is home to some serious gunk, grunge and general debris. Changing your sheets, which experts say should be done every one to two weeks, may not be a top priority. But if you want to be truly kind to yourself ― or at least to your face and your head ― you should be changing your pillowcase every week, no matter what. Why so often? This is about to get gross. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Pro Tip: It’s dicey planning flights during a pandemic, driving increased interest in travel insurance. But if you purchase a plan, be sure to read the fine print: Many people learned early in the pandemic that their travel insurance didn’t necessarily cover flights or other bookings they canceled due to coronavirus concerns because they hadn’t purchased “cancel for any reason” plans. As the name suggests, this type of insurance allows travelers to cancel their trips for any reason, including fear. Read this before you buy so you know what to look for.
