After suffering back-to-back defeats â at the hands of their two biggest rivals, no less â the Wolverines are set for a rematch against the Spartans on Tuesday night.
Dear subscribers,
The Michigan men's basketball team is set for a rematch against Michigan State Tuesday night. A group of about 50 people demonstrated outside the City Council chambers before the meeting Tuesday to voice their support for making Ann Arbor a sanctuary city. Michigan softball's Kelly Christner is looking to revert to her sophomore selfâmentally and physicallyâto lead the team in her senior season. The Senate Advisory Committee on University Affairs discussed strategies on how to gauge social climate within the faculty and staff through surveys soon to be released. Finally, freshman guard Kysre Gondrezick stepped up to salvage the Michigan women's basketball team's game against Iowa Sunday.
All the best,
The Michigan Daily
A group of about 50 people demonstrated outside the City Council chambers before the meeting Tuesday, in the hopes of convincing the council to adopt a resolution declaring Ann Arbor a sanctuary city with chants of âNo ICE! No raids! Immigrants are here to stay!â
A much-needed asset for the Wolverines, Christner is now looking to revert to her sophomore self â mentally and physically â and lead No. 6 Michigan to the Womenâs College World Series for the fourth time in the past five seasons.
The Senate Advisory Committee on University Affairs discussed strategies on how to gauge social climate within the faculty and staff through surveys soon to be released. The committee also debated how to promote diversity without undermining Proposal 2, Michiganâs 2006 legislation that prevents universities from using affirmative action â including special preferences based on factors such as ethnicity, race and gender â in admissions and hiring.
Without Kysre Gondrezick, Michigan wouldnât be able to make big comebacks or sustain seemingly-comfortable leads.
