Last night, Central Student Government voted against a resolution that would have called on the University of Michigan to divest its investments in several companies that allegedly commit human rights violations against Palestinians. A man came to the Diag and wrote Trump’s campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again,” and then Clinton’s campaign slogan, “Stronger Together,” to gauge how people would react and illustrate how students of minority political views can face discrimination. Two players on the Michigan women's basketball team were awarded weekly Big Ten honors after leading the team to two wins, and Michigan football could use a boost from Jehu Chesson as the uncertainty around quarterback continues.
