This Friday, Michigan's men's basketball is preparing for their first round game in the NCAA Tournament against No. 6 Notre Dame â where friendships between some players has lead to a different kind of rivalry. Men's hockey is also readying for their first game tonight against Penn State in the Big Ten Tournament. Fridayâs game will be the Wolverinesâ fifth in nine days spanning three states.

On the evening of January 4, sharpshooters contracted by the city of Ann Arbor from the U.S. Department of Agriculture were scheduled to begin a X-month campaign to remove 100 deer from the city â a cull â in the face of concerns over a outgrowth in deer population.
