Fantasy championships are won by snagging breakouts and starting players who boom at the right time. Today we're remembering the greatest breakouts, one-hit wonders and outlier games of all time, as the Peyton Hillis's and Arian Foster's of the world were so impactful in Fantasy. My personal favorite breakout was Foster's 2010 campaign, as I picked him up off waivers in all of my leagues and rode his 16-touchdown season to multiple championships. For one-hit wonders, the Browns seem to dominate this category, with Derek Anderson, Peyton Hillis, Josh Gordon and Gary Barnidge all turning in awesome Fantasy seasons before busting. And who can forget some of the craziest Fantasy outlier games like Matt Flynn's 6 TD game in Week 17 of 2011 or Doug Martin's 55 point monster performance in 2012? On CBS Sports HQ at noon ET and on the podcast, the crew is discussing these memories and looking ahead to 2020. Who could have been a one-year wonder in 2019 - maybe Devante Parker or Darren Waller? Who is set to breakout in 2020? |
