As a person who loves to eat, it pains me every New Year when diet culture rears its ugly head, suggesting we cut out entire food groups and restrict ourselves from pleasure on a supposed quest for self-betterment. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge proponent of healthy eating, but certain diets and buzzwords can be dangerous.
