Hi John,
Another week of self-isolation, once again, means another week of scanning the inbox, hoping to find some content to satiate the hunger of a micro-dopamine hit. One previously found in the simplicity of social interaction and the promise of upcoming holidays. Scroll no more as we deliver up this week’s cathartic release in the form of our annual (each week is beginning to feel more like a year so, the ‘weekly’ just became the ‘annual’) Armchair Travel Edit.
It won’t be long until we can all sit in a park by ourselves, and this year (week) a few lucky states do have the privilege of enjoying one’s solitude surrounded by...well grass. It’s the closest we’re getting to travel right now, except for the dreaming we’ll all be doing reading the stories in this edition of The Armchair Travel Edit. We also realised this week/year that our virtual zoom backgrounds aren’t going to cut the mustard when it comes to video calls with the Kiwis as they all emerge from their Stage 4 lockdown and show us up (there’s a first for everything).
So while you’re sitting at home in your fishbowl (both literal and zoom background), take a moment to dream a little and imagine where your next adventure could take you when this is all over....and no we're not talking about the local park, that’s this week’s adventure.
