| Nasdaq, the S&P, and the Dow closed Friday's with gains but the indices posted losses for the week, ending a five week positive streak. Inflation fears played a big part in the pullback. On Friday, the University of Michigan reported that a preliminary reading of its consumer confidence index fell to the lowest it has been in 10 years, surpassing most analyst's expectations. Gold has also soared to a five month high as investors seek shelter from record-breaking inflation. |
