Did your favourite album of the year make the list?
We've finally decided on our favourite albums of 2019.
Each member of the Double J team submitted a list of their ten favourite records of the year. We tallied up the votes, wrote a few words about the 50 that ranked highest, and now we're ready to share them with you.
If our list is to be believed – and it is – women made the best records of 2019.
Australian artists made tons of them. There was a little less great rock'n'roll, a little more great hip hop.
You won't like every album on the list. I don't. But that's not the point.
We put this together to offer a kind of sampling platter of what music was like in 2019. It can be daunting to know where to start when catching up on new music, we can only hope that this makes it a little easier.
