BY ADAM DAIGLE | Acadiana business editor It's an idea straight out of the Grand Rapids, Michigan playbook: a tech council. A group of technology executives and community leaders in the region will launch the Lafayette Regional Technology Council to help develop and retain top talent and promote the region to other companies. Techneaux Technology Services founder and CEO Ben Johnson and CGI Federal vice president Will LaBar will serve as chairman and vice-chair as the committee gets started. Large tech industry wins have been quiet in recent months. It was a big talker when the SchoolMint deal went down in 2020. Grand Rapids gave lots of credit to its tech commitee, so this could be something to watch in the coming months. You can check out my story here. Have a good day and thanks for reading. |
