Thank you to all of those who joined us for the premiere of A Bridge to Life!

Thank you to everyone who joined us last month for the premiere of A Bridge to Life in Charlottesville.

We are so grateful for all the support and heartwarming feedback we have continued to receive. It was a rewarding experience to collaborate with the Tom Tom Foundation, the Paramount Theatre, the Bridge Ministry, and various other community partners to host a successful first screening with over 700 attendees, including several elected officials in the audience, and a lively Q&A. Thanks to everyone who helped us get the word out!

We love the incredible work of William Washington and his team. It was an honor to share A Bridge to Life with you, and we can't wait for future screenings. Thank you once again. Below are some photos from the event (thank you to Will May who beautifully captured the spirit of the evening).

Seats at the Table named a semi-finalist at 2024 CLIMAX Film Festival

Seats at the Table, a Rosalia Films production released in 2018, was named a semi-finalist at the 2024 CLIMAX Film Festival.

The feature documentary follows a college class where university students and prisoners from a maximum-security juvenile facility come together to discuss Russian literature. Through these discussions, they break down stereotypes, form deep connections, and gain a profound understanding of each other's lives. Led by University of Virginia Lecturer Andrew Kaufman since 2010, this transformative educational experience leaves both groups empowered and inspired to lead more purposeful lives. Previously, Seats at the Table has been showcased at prestigious events including the SXSW-EDU Conference, Virginia Film Festival, United Nations Association Film Festival, and Global Peace Film Festival.

Support A Bridge to Life to help our social justice impact efforts

My filmmaking has always aimed to spotlight unsung heroes. When I met William Washington, I knew his story had to be shared to inspire others.

Since completing A Bridge to Life, our mission has been twofold: shine a light on the transformative work of the Bridge Ministry – which has a remarkable recidivism rate under 5% compared to the national 80% – and inspire communities nationwide to create similar life-changing programs.

As our country grapples with a critical drug addiction crisis, we believe in championing a more compassionate solution to incarceration and addiction rehabilitation. Our goal is to bring the film to communities and legislators across the U.S. to show how building more bridges leads to fewer jails.

Driving our social impact depends on the generosity of donors who share our vision.

If you are interested in donating to A Bridge to Life the Film Collaborative, a 501(c)3 organization, has agreed to be the project's fiscal sponsor, so all contributions to help make this project will be verified as tax-deductible charitable donations.

Please consider supporting this project.
