Dear Reader,
Like so many other families, mine has a tradition of saying what we’re thankful for on Thanksgiving. Every year, I try to vary the ritual — to express gratitude for something I think might be surprising or unexpected, to break up the predictability and get people thinking.
But at the end of the day, I’m thankful for the same things each year: my family, my community, my work.
And I’m thankful for you: our readers at the Forward.
As the world has slowly adapted to our new normal, the Forward has spent every day deepening our storytelling, reaching new audiences, and breaking out into new channels and media. We’ve covered some of the biggest stories of the year, won unprecedented accolades, and found new ways to connect the history of Yiddishkeit to today’s Jewish community.
All of that was possible because of you. Whether you check the Forward’s home page each morning, follow us on social media, listen to our podcasts, get our newsletters, or all of the above, thank you for being part of the Forward’s family this year.
From all of us at the Forward, our families to yours: Happy Thanksgiving. Thank you for being with us.
