The Advocate's Top Headlines

with Kelly P. Kissel | Metro editor

It's midday on hump day. Here are some of the latest headlines from Baton Rouge.

While the public learned about a missing toddler late in the day on Sept. 24, the events that led to her death started hours before. Elyse Carmosino has put together a timeline that includes a chilling mention by a 3-year-old girl that her half-sibling was "in the forest."

As Paul Cobler looked again at the events that led up to a large raw sewage spill in the Gardere neighborhood last week, he discovered that similar problems had happened before. In fact, it was the fifth major spill at the plant this year.

Central Casting Louisiana needs extras for a movie to be shot in the Baton Rouge and St. Francisville areas. Details are here.
