In a major setback to the Asian expansion roadmap for both Telstra and new CEO Andrew Penn, Australia’s dominant telco and the giant San Miguel Corporation have shelved a US$1 billion investment plan in a Philippines mobile network.

NEC Australia and Microsoft have formed a development partnership Microsoft’s Azure Internet of Things program.
