Good morning, and welcome to the Saints Insider Newsletter for Wednesday, May 17. Veteran defensive end Cam Jordan will turn 34 in July and is entering his 13th season. But the Saints believe he has plenty left in the tank. The sides are reportedly in negotiations on a contract extension that will likely mean Jordan ends his Hall of Fame career with the Saints, who selected him in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Meanwhile, beat reporter Terrin Waack caught up with running back Kendre Miller at the team's rookie minicamp and learned the Saints hope to use him in a variety of ways this season. Speaking of newcomers, the Saints signed two more members of their rookie class to contracts, Waack reports. That's all for today. Thanks for your loyal support and look for more coverage from our Saints beat team throughout the week on NOLA.com. Until next time, Jeff Duncan |
