The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is expected to officially announce the final regulation capping credit-card late fees shortly, despite hearing overwhelming feedback since the rule was proposed last year from businesses, banks, and workers about the harm it would cause. The final rule is also anticipated to face legal challenges, making it hard to implement.
