Throwback Thursday with AAS! We are very proud of the fact that roughly 50% of our projects from the past nine years have gone into production since making their market debut at AAS. And we thought it would be fun to catch up with some of the shiniest success stories! First up is One Animation’s Oddbods, which was in our program for the first-ever Asian Animation Summit all the way back in 2012. Since then, One Animation has produced three 60 x 7-minute seasons that have aired in 180 countries on 90 platforms including Cartoon Network, Disney, Nickelodeon, Netflix, Hulu and Amazon. It has generated 17 billion views and 22 million subscribers on YouTube. Two Oddbods theme parks are thriving in China, and a wide range of toy and game products are available at Walmart and on Amazon. Want to be among the first to discover this year’s best new animation concepts developing in Asia-Pacific? Registration for AAS 2020 is now open, and a $200 Early-Bird discount is in effect until Friday, August 28. In light of the continued uncertainty around the coronavirus pandemic, Kidscreen has adjusted its cancellation policy for AAS so that if it’s not possible to produce a live event because of COVID-19, all registration fees will be fully refunded. |
