Good morning,

It will come as no surprise that Nicola Sturgeon and Boris Johnson take differing views of the Prime Minister's visit to Scotland later today.

In a tweet this morning, the First Minister claimed the PM's visit only strengthens the independence argument, while Mr Johnson says it highlights the 'sheer might' of the union.

Recent polling on independence suggests a small majority of Scots now favour breaking away from the UK, but Mr Johnson has ruled out the prospect of allowing a referendum.
