Wire weaving allows you to be a little more creative with this technique and have fun in class making a two-toned bracelet of 14/20 gold-filled wire mixed with fine silver and Argentium silver. Learn Sarah’s favorite method of capturing a cabochon with wire weaving and make an intricate clasp to set off your piece. You will explore how subtle uses of fusing can greatly enhance your designs and how to start incorporating granulation into your woven jewelry. |
| | | | This bold piece is a textured, layered mélange of silversmithing techniques, including roller printing, granulation, hammering, fusing, soldering, and heat fracturing. Instructor Robert Lopez will guide you through them all as you make your own Let It Flourish pendant with tarnish-resistant Argentium Sterling Silver, an alloy which is whiter and brighter than traditional sterling, and has properties that lend themselves to a range of interesting options. |
