Hello,

What a busy and fulfilling week it has been looking through the archives to bring back forgotten memories to myself and to you.

The week started with our further delve into the history of Leyland, this time looking at it through the lens of the 80s and 90s. Still a time of growth in the town, we continue to see it build into the thriving place it is today.

Then it was a trip through 2004 looking at what the everyday people of Preston were getting up to. Such a variety of different events are on display. Can you spot yourself in any of the pictures? Or perhaps someone you know?

The Fylde coast also got its own nostalgia blast, again peeking at life in 2004. This gallery looks more closely at areas like Morecambe, Fleetwood, Lytham and Garstang in particular.

Next up was a real labour of love for me.

A recent survey has shown that there are now fewer pubs in England and Wales than ever before. Having grown up in pubs run by my parents, I dipped into the archives to look for pubs that are sadly no longer prominent on the streets of Preston. I wanted to bring back rich memories of these long forgotten establishments. I hope you enjoy this one as much as I enjoyed producing it.

And finally, rounding off the week, here's our look back at Prom nights of the past - with Fulwood Academy in the spotlight

Have a great weekend!

Naomi
