Poster Submissions are Still Open! One of the most rewarding aspects of attending an ACDIS event is being able to share your facility’s stories and learn from others in the field. If you missed the early bird discount and worry that you won’t be able to attend, consider sharing your outpatient CDI lessons in either poster or lightning round sessions to obtain $200 off the cost of admission. What’s a Poster Session? Glad you asked. We liken it to a fancy science fair project, where presenters make a visual representation of a unique aspect of their team’s efforts. Past topics included “Top 5 Lessons Learned Through Implementation of an Ambulatory HCC Program” and “Proactive Denials Prevention.” This year’s submissions include topics such as “Ways to Successfully Train New Ambulatory CDI Staff” and “Ambulatory CDI Productivity Measures: Is it too soon to set standards?” Posters are 48 inches HIGH X 36 inches WIDE and presenters need to create a one-page summary sheet to help attendees understand the content of the presentation. Share your ideas and successes, and hopefully you’ll spark interest in attendees who want to know more about your presentation. We encourage you to bring business cards so you can help attendees remember how to reach you. Please note that the posters must be educational and not promotional in nature. What’s a Lightning Round Session? Well, let us explain! These are short, five-to-10 minute educational sessions where speakers share a tried-and-true tip or process with attendees. Speakers should be prepared to create a short slide deck and be able to respond to audience questions.
