I’ve been invited to speak around the globe – in Israel, Finland and soon more to come — about how the Yiddish Forward is transforming in the new millennium.
Our social media channels are lighting up with activity from a range of individuals in search of a daily dose of Yiddish culture — children of Holocaust survivors (including a growing number of Israelis) who miss the language of their parents; millennials seeking a different form of Jewish expression; Hasidic Jews interested in topics not covered in the Hasidic press; klezmer musicians; researchers of East European Jewish culture and history, and many more.
