BoldBrush Recommends: Susan GilliGet Notified When Susan Posts New Art BiographyI have been painting for numerous years, especially since my retirement. My early training in art was from an art school located in Nyack NY. I have an associates degree in respiratory therapy. ( A far cry from the art world!) I worked as a respiratory therapist for many years until retirement due to a kidney transplant. (Successful I might add !) I paint intuitively. I'm not sure where most of my creative ideas emerge from. I'll approach a painting with specific colors in mind, and then it takes off from there. Lately I have discovered oil and cold wax. This is an exciting medium with many challenges, but one I thoroughly enjoy. My goal in abstraction is to allow the viewer to come away with a sense of emotional attachment to the painting.
