Here are a few of the responses: Cally in Alaska: "Don't spend more than you make. If you don't make what you want to spend, get another job or get training for a better-paying job." Mary in Michigan: "When you enter the workforce, open a Roth IRA account and start affordable, automatic monthly contributions. The earlier you start, the better." John in California: "Albert Einstein: 'Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it; he who doesn't, pays it.' So, my child, invest early and often!" Curtis in California: "Make certain your spouse or significant other shares the same values, goals and priorities you do. You'll have a much better life." Karen in Connecticut: "Do everything in your power to avoid credit card debt. It can snowball before you know it, and coming back from it is very difficult."
