Friends,
Over the past few weeks, we have shared amazing stories about the impact of your contributions. We took you behind the scenes to the conservation of Judy Baca’s massive mural Uprising of the Mujeres — made up of six 4-foot by 8-foot panels — and the development of virtual interactive education tools for students focused on the historic changemakers in William H. Johnson’s Fighters for Freedom series.
Our team of scholars, conservators, and educators work beyond the galleries to preserve and share the stories and legacies of American art and artists.
While we receive federal support that covers SAAM and Renwick Gallery facilities and operating costs, it is through gifts from SAAM supporters like you that we are able to produce exhibitions and education programs about American Art. I ask that you become a part of this legacy by making a gift today.
Whether you are near or far, we have so many ways to connect and share SAAM with you. Thank you for your support.
Wishing you a warm holiday season,
Stephanie Stebich The Margaret and Terry Stent Director Smithsonian American Art Museum and Renwick Gallery |
