Accordingly, we welcome submissions from authors and organizations from marginalized social groups including (but not limited to) people of color, LGBTQ, diverse genders, people with disabilities, and ethnic, cultural, and religious minorities. Litquake Festival runs October 8-17, 2020!Here's what we're looking for:Authors that are local or in some way connected to the Bay Area, or able to travel to San Francisco during the festival dates.Authors with a book or other significant publications within the last two years.Someone who can give a great interpretation of their work to a live audience.Proposals for events with a clear topic and list of participating authors.
About Litquake Litquake, San Francisco's annual literary festival, was founded by Bay Area writers in order to put on a week-long literary spectacle for book lovers, complete with cutting-edge panels, unique cross-media events, and hundreds of readings. Since its founding in 1999, the festival has presented close to 8,650 author appearances for an audience of over 183,000 in its lively and inclusive celebration of San Francisco's thriving contemporary literary scene.
