ALB M&A Rankings 2020 Submissions for ALB’s annual ranking of the best law firms for M&A in Asia are now open. Our Research: The research covers the period spanning from August 2019 to July 2020. This includes both ongoing work and matters that were closed during this timeframe. ALB will draw results from firm submissions, Thomson Reuters M&A data, interviews, editorial resources and market suggestions to identify and rank the top firms for M&A in Asia. Interviews will be conducted only if needed. The rankings will be divided into tiers, with the first tier identifying the strongest M&A firms in each jurisdiction. The rankings will cover the following jurisdictions: China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. There will be no Asia-wide table. The rankings will feature both domestic and international firms. The following jurisdictions will have separate tables for domestic firms and international firms: China, Japan and South Korea. Our research does not cover Australia and New Zealand. The ALB M&A Rankings 2020 will be published in our September 2020 issue. Deadline for submission is July 24, 2020. No extension requests will be accommodated. |

ALB Asia 40 Under 40 2020 Submissions are now open for ALB Asia’s annual 40 Under 40 list, which profiles the most accomplished lawyers in Asia under 40 years of age. Open to those either working in-house or in law firms, the list will showcase 40 lawyers who are doing high-quality work – for example appearing on important deals, in key disputes and more – and in the process earning accolades from their colleagues, superiors and clients. To be considered, lawyers should download the form, complete it and email with the subject line 40 Under 40 Submission 2020 to [email protected] by Friday, July 31, 2020. Note that a submission does not guarantee a place on the list. Additionally, ALB does not have the obligation to explain the inclusion or omission of specific lawyers on the list. Finally, lawyers who have been named in the list previously will not be considered for future lists. Lawyers need to be permanently based in Asia to qualify. Submissions from mainland China and Australia/New Zealand will, however, not be considered for this list. |
