The Southbank Centre's riverside winter wonderland is back! You know that Christmas has well and truly landed in London when Alpine-style chalets and giant snow globes pop up on a certain stretch of the River Thames. This is the Southbank Centre's Winter Market: a chance to eat, drink, shop and be merry in one of the most picturesque parts of the city. Stroll along South Bank under a canopy of twinkling lights, browsing unique gifts by an array of independent traders, including Linnet Jewellery, Pincho Poncho Alpaca Wool, and The Great British Bee Co. There's hot chocolate and mulled delights to keep you warm, including mulled wine with a mince pie lid (!) by the geniuses at The Mulled Wine Tavern, by Grays & Feather. Feeling peckish? The Winter Market's street food traders include YumThai, The Duck Shed, Meltsmiths, and Dutch Pancakes, to name but a few. There's more deliciousness to discover at the Southbank Centre's winter pop ups. We're talking riverside raclette at Fire & Fromage, spiced cider at one of Beltane & Pop's fire pits, and The Thirsty Farrier's Christmassy cocktails. And it's not all about food and drink — you can also indulge your competitive side, with a game of curling at The Curling Club (though there is a banging Alpine-themed menu to discover here, too...)
