Nvidia reportedly scraped decades' worth of videos to train its AI models
| A report claims the AI was used for its Omniverse 3D world generator, self-driving car systems, and 'digital human' products | Nvidia scraped videos from YouTube, Netflix, and other sources to train its AI products, internal communications obtained by 404 Media show. According to emails viewed by 404, project managers discussed using as many as 30 virtual machines running on Amazon Web Services to download 80 years’ worth of full-length and clip-length videos every day. The news site said that when asked about whether it was legally and ethically OK to use creators’ content in this way without permission, Nvidia replied that it had been done “in full compliance with the letter and the spirit of copyright law” ... | |

| There’s plenty to look forward to during next week’s Made by Google event, with the tech giant expected to unveil the next generation of Pixel hardware, some fun AI tools, and more, Digital Trends reported. Among the goodies to expect is the Google Pixel 9. This will be the base model Pixel, with the more powerful Pro and Pro XL variants also incoming. Also on the way is the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Google’s second foldable and the successor to the Pixel Fold, which launched last year. Get ready to pay for more Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+
| Streaming services are going to cost a little more starting October 17
| Starting in October, Disney+ with ads will rise from $8 a month to $10. Disney+ without ads will go from $14 a month to $16. The annual subscription will rise by $20 to $160. Hulu with ads will increase from $8 a month to $10, while the annual fee will jump from $80 to $100. Hulu's ad-free plan will rise by $1 to $19 a month, while Hulu with Live TV with ads will rise to $83 a month, or $96 without ads. ESPN+ will increase by $1 to $12 a month, and by $10 to $120 a year. The Disney Bundle Duo Basic will go up by $1 to $11 a month, while the Duo Premium bundle will remain at $20 a month ... | |

| Stranger Things: The First Shadow will begin previews at the Marquis Theatre in New York City on March 28 next year before officially opening on April 22, Digital Trends reported. Based on Netflix's hit sci-fi series, Stranger Things: The First Shadow is a prequel play set in 1959. It depicts the arrival of a young Henry Creel and his family in Hawkins, Indiana.
