After years of hard work to reign in prescription drug prices, Democratic leaders passed the historic Inflation Reduction Act, giving Medicare the power to negotiate prescription drug prices and cap Medicare recipients' annual out-of-pocket drug expenses, which will lower health care costs for millions of Americans nationwide.

Last week, Republican Senators introduced legislation to end Medicare's new ability to negotiate lower prescription drug costs, limit insulin copays to $35, and cap Medicare recipients' annual out-of-pocket drug expenses at $2,000.
