State wildlife secretary resigns amid bribery probe

The head of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries has stepped own, a day after an investigation by The Advocate | The Times Picayune implicated him in a federal bribery case. 

Here's how the fallout unfolded on Friday. 


It has been weeks since an apparent cyberattack basically took Southeastern Louisiana University off the internet, but the university and law enforcement officials investigating the case have said little about what happened.

Then, this week, it appears hackers placed confidential information from the university online. Here's what that could mean about the incident, and what cybersecurity experts think the dangers are.  


Should it be illegal for people under 21 to enter bars in Louisiana? One state lawmaker thinks so. And she's citing the case of Madison Brooks, the LSU student who was raped and fatally hit by a car — 3 of the 4 people accused of involvement were underage when they met Brooks at a bar.
